Add your car to your account

Link the car to your account with the code on its screen, so you can see its plan and status from your phone.

You need: the car with LocalStore on it, and your phone or a computer.

1. Get a code on the car's screen

Open LocalStore on the car's screen.
In the Account card, tap Add to account.
The screen shows an 8-character code and a QR code. The code works once and expires after 15 minutes.

2. Enter it on your phone

Either way works:

Scan the QR code with your phone's camera. It opens the right page; sign in or create an account if asked.
Type the code: sign in to your account, open Add a car, type the code and tap Add car.

The car then appears under My cars, with its plan and when it last checked in.

Code didn't work? It may have expired or already been used. Tap Add to account on the car again for a fresh one.

Business fleets

Create a fleet from the account menu and add each vehicle the same way. Then add your managers and drivers under Members (each person needs their own AppsForMyCar account first). Owners and admins can add or remove cars; drivers and viewers can only look.

Selling the car

In My cars, use Remove from account. The new owner adds it to their own account with a new code. Your history stays with you.
